GROW Group is an independent , UK based, international biotechnology and pharmaceutical services company. Co-founded in 2017 by Ben Langley and CSO, Dr Ian Atkinson, GROW is focused purely on Cannabis-based medicines and improving affordable access globally to all patients that need it.
It's always flattering when a client moves on and takes an agency with them. This was the case, having worked with our client for 15 years when we were introduced and appointed by Grow Group, a UK based, international biotechnology and pharmaceutical company. Grow is a leading importer of cannabis medicines in the UK and Ireland.
At this point Grow Group were still very much a start up company, working towards IPO and hungry to really step things up and get their message out there.
The short term strategy was to develop Grow's core brand values and messaging in Europe as well as separating the noise surrounding its recreational use and changing the mindset of the stigma associated with using cannabis for medical patients plus making it affordable to those who need it, putting the patient first to greatly improve the quality of patient lives.
We approached the project from the basis of understanding what the leadership team were working towards. The best way to do this was to gather everyone together for a discovery workshop. By taking the time to investigate the nuances of Grow Groups audience, we were able to understand what was required from the brand and start the creative process.

to include problem framing, understanding goals (both business and user), understanding users, Information Architecture, SWOT analysis, content architecture and definition to give an understanding of the project scope.
Based upon output from the discovery workshop we created a simple, low definition prototype which was tested internally and externally to validate the user journeys.
Following feedback, we built simple, fully clickable wireframes and focused on 2 predefined target viewports.
Finalise and document all UI elements and user journeys based upon user testing/client feedback.
We worked with the internal web development team to ensure that the original vision was reviewed and delivered at key stages during the build.
The whole process allowed the CEO and leadership team the opportunity to set the direction for the road to IPO with confidence. Grow Group now has a new brand toolkit and website to work within to apply the brand consistently across all of its marketing channels.
